III. NBW 2023 Committees
The 89th National Book Week 2023 was celebrated with the theme “Read. Reread. Relive!”. A series of online contests was facilitated by the Learning Resource and Multimedia Centre-High School library in collaboration with the Young Readers Club Officers of Junior High School and Senior High School. With the online contests, namely: Reading through Selfies: Book Shelfie Contest; Reading through the Arts: Digital Poster Making Contest; Reading to Motivate: Book Talk Contest; For the Love of Books and Reading: Haiku Writing Contest; and Reading through Trivia: A Riddle Challenge! that was participated in by various individuals, it would help them still appreciate the love for reading of good books and other forms of reading materials. Also, these young ones would still acknowledge the role and importance of the school libraries and media centres, as well as their librarians.
In connection with the said celebration, the LRMC-High School Library also acknowledged the student who participated in the book donation drive. Through this, certain books were added to the library's collection. Likewise, library awardees for 2023 in both student and faculty categories, specifically the Top Library Users, Top Book Borrowers, and Top AVR User, were given a certificate of appreciation and have received tokens.
Finally, this celebration would not be possible without the presence of the Young Readers Club officers, who extend their time and effort to help with the preparation to make the culmination successful, and the initiative of the assigned librarians and club advisers for the said event.
